In this week’s love and relationships Tarot reading. we have the King of Wands, Ten of Swords, and the 6 of Pentacles reversed. What could these mean? Read on to find out what to expect in your relationships throughout the week.
The Tarot spread used for this week’s reading is Guidance, Obstacles, Opportunities.
Guidance – King of Wands
This week, the King of Wands encourages us to use our fiery energy to be creative in our relationships. He has a vision, an idea for how he wants to rule his kingdom and sets about doing it. In doing so, he creates the relationships he wants to see in his life, those he wishes to have reflected back at him. He is a mirror for others in his life in what he seeds, he gets back from others.
Consider yourself to be the sower and you’re asked to seed relationships this week as you want to see them mirrored back to you. If you want to see the cashier at the grocery store be more friendly when you walk up, be friendly to him or her first. If you want your significant other to surprise you with a gift, surprise him or her with your own gift first.
In doing for others, we give them the spark of the idea to return the favor and do the same or different for us.
If you’re single or trying to fit this reading into a workplace setting, then remember this, you can attract more flies with honey than you can with vinegar. If you are authentically nice and sweet, you will get the same reflected back to you. Even if you smile more, you may notice that others are smiling more back at you than when you are grumpy.
If you want a significant change in your relationships this week for the positive, follow the advice of the King of Wands.
Obstacles – The Ten of Swords
This card has always signaled the end of a relationship in the readings I perform for myself and others. What I’ve come to see over time is that it can mean that there are red flags that you need to pay attention to that go against your values and beliefs. You may have made excuses for the other person in the past, but now it is time for you to be awake and take notice.
They’re overstepping your boundaries and that’s just not cool. It may be time to stand up for what you believe in and let the person know how you feel. If things can’t be worked out fairly between the two of you, then it may be time to end the relationship.
You likely have felt the victim in this situation for awhile. If you feel like you have looked to excuses for yourself to keep accepting the other person’s behavior, ask why that is. The more you know about yourself, the more you are able to recognize when you’re being the victim in future situations and stop that behavior. You can learn to stand up for yourself. Now is the time.
Opportunities – 6 of Pentacles Reversed
Keep your money to yourself this week and do something for you! I’ll bet that you’re always giving to others in some way, whether it is time and attention, money, or lending a book or even a car to another person. However, each time you do that, the other person may not have returned the favor in quite the same way that you gave it and with less than you expected.
Instead of helping others this week, do something for yourself with the things you need to do. If you need time and attention, do something that gives you that rest you need. Some ideas are to read a book, play an instrument, go take a class you’ve been wanting to take. If you’re usually lending money, then put some aside for yourself or go buy yourself something you’ve wanted to buy for awhile. If you usually lend people things, then do something with those things that you lend. Turn on the radio, mow the grass, vacuum the floors.
If you aren’t a giving person, then this card represents the need for you to look at who is giving the most in your relationships. Is it time for you to give some too?
